With $1.7 billion in total assets across Secondaries, Buyouts, Ventures, and Investment Solutions, ACE operates with a team of 40+ employees across offices in Geneva, New York, London, and Cairo.
The Role:
ACE & Company is seeking a Vice President to join as the sixth member of our Buyouts investment team in our New York office. We are seeking a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual who will manage the full cycle of the deal process, from sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities to executing deals and overseeing portfolio performance. This role will include managing and mentoring junior team members while managing up with senior professionals, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
ACE’s Buyout strategy:
Manages >$800mm, investing out of its 5th vintage fund. The strategy invests in buyout transactions across industries with companies located in the US and Europe. We invest in partnership with a lead sponsor, providing ACE the flexibility to take either a more passive or active approach post investment as warranted. To date, the strategy has completed over 90 co-investments with a focus on supporting transactions led by independent and emerging managers in the lower middle market.
Your Role:
- Deal Management: Responsible for quarterbacking the deal process, driving the due diligence plan and managing junior professionals to produce various analysis and committee materials and then structuring and negotiation of final terms alongside outside counsel
- Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities. Build and maintain a robust network for deal sourcing
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the financial performance of the portfolio companies and the quarterly reporting process to LPs as well as taking ad-hoc board roles when necessary
- Firm Initiatives: Contribute to business unit and firmwide initiatives including IT adoption, process improvements, and strategic evaluation of new business opportunities
- Fundraising and Investor Relations: Contribute to the fundraising efforts through materials preparation and answering ad-hoc investor questions
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior team members, who will support the VP in their range of responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture
Your Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in GP-led secondaries, co-investments, or middle market PE
- Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex transactions
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively interact with senior professionals, GPs, and key stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Data-driven and passionate about applying technology to your work and continuous improvement
Expected Start Date: Q2 2025
Pay Transparency:
The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus and participation in carried interest. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
