Title: Senior Associate/Associate
Description: Founded in 2024 and based in Dallas, Texas, is a fund with $185 million AUM. The firm closed its inaugural SBIC Fund in March 2024 and has invested in 10 operating companies to date. The firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the early stages of a Texas-based SBIC Fund, which invests mezzanine debt and equity (non-control) in lower middle market companies across the U.S. with a focus on the southwest.
Responsibilities for the Associate and Senior Associate roles will include:
- New deal review and assessment
- Conduct financial, operational and market analysis to support diligence of potential investments
- Help lead due diligence efforts, including creation of diligence lists, industry research and coordination of third-party providers
- Prepare financial models, investment memos and portfolio review documents to share with stakeholders
- Review data rooms in detail and synthesize findings
- Actively participate in internal and external conversations surrounding potential investments and portfolio companies
- Monitor portfolio company performance and listen in to Board meetings as an observer
- Travel for company site visits and select board meetings
- Represent Providence and articulate our strategy and investment criteria to prospective companies, investment bankers, lenders, co-investors, and LP investors.
Job Qualifications: Providence is seeking an investment professional with 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, accounting or consulting. The ideal candidate can demonstrate qualifications such as:
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Sharp attention to detail
- Possesses ability to manage several workstreams or projects at once
- Self-starter, highly motivated, and eager to learn
- Passionate about investing in and partnering with lower middle-market founder-owned companies.
- Ability to live and work in Dallas, TX. We all work in office to maximize comradery and learning

Education Level: CFA, Bachelor's or Master's
