Job Description
Position: Analyst/Associate Education: Undergraduate Degree
Work Experience: 1 – 4 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, private
/mezzanine debt, consulting, commercial banking, accounting, or finance roles Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Start Date: Winter/Spring 2024/2025, Flexible Status: Exempt; Full-Time; In-Person
Responsibilities
· Investment Evaluation – Identify, screen, and evaluate new investment opportunities by reviewing Confidential Information Memorandums, drafting initial due diligence questions list, and understanding issues related to investment decision-making process
· Transaction Structuring – Build complex models in Excel to evaluate financial scenarios and analyze financial statements to determine creditworthiness and return profile of a business/opportunity
· Investment Analysis – Conduct business due diligence and analyses (synthesize data sets, evaluate Key Performance Indicators) and prepare memorandums to communicate key thesis and risks/mitigants to investment committee
· Industry and Market Research – Conduct industry research, market analysis, and calls with subject matter experts to evaluate growth prospects, understand industry-specific nuances, and competitive dynamics
· Portfolio Company Initiatives – Work with internal staff to track portfolio performance, financial reporting, and complete valuations; assist portfolio companies with strategic and financial value creation initiatives including financial analysis, add-on acquisitions, KPI management, growth strategies and others
· Key Participant – Participate in meetings with management teams, financing sources, M&A intermediaries, and investors
