New 2ND Capital is hiring a Capital Formation & Investor Relations Associate for our growing team in New York. The candidate should have two to five years of relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit or secondaries.

New 2ND Capital is a private equity firm focused on complex GP-led secondaries investments in lower middle market and middle market companies in North America. The firm was founded in 2016 and has over $2.3 billion in regulatory AUM across funds (as of 6/30/24).
Opportunity
This role at New 2ND Capital will include responsibilities across many areas of private equity Capital Formation & Investor Relations, including investor outreach and fundraising, investor servicing, assisting in the creation of marketing messages and collateral production, investor events and conferences and new firmwide business line development. New 2ND Capital has a lean, entrepreneurial culture, and candidates have the opportunity to wear a variety of hats as needed. We are looking for motivated self-starters with strong interpersonal skills, analytical acumen and work autonomy. This position is on-site in New York with occasional travel as needed.
Responsibilities
o Assisting in prospective investor targeting, follow-up and existing investor servicing, including working directly with the Head of Capital Formation and Partners on fundraising and investor development, including LP meetings, roadshows and events.
o Supporting investment transaction updates to investors, including observing investment committee meetings and liaising with deal teams on new and existing deals.
o Creation, preparation and maintenance of relevant marketing messaging and materials including as investor presentations and DDQs.
o Assisting in reporting and servicing investors, coordinating efforts across internal teams (accounting, operations, compliance).
o Leveraging available technology and tools, including firm CRM (DealCloud) across all internal and external processes. Knowledge of DealCloud is a plus.
o Periodic creation of financial projections and modeling of possible firm level business extensions and special projects.
Qualifications
o Two to five years of experience in investment banking, private equity, investment management or secondaries.
o Bachelor’s degree with a record of academic achievement required.
o Fluency with financial statements and modeling, with strong analytical and writing skills including advanced working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
o Ability to work autonomously and interest in direct relationship development activities.
