MSouth Capital provides customized debt and minority equity financing solutions to lower middle market businesses based primarily in the South. Our capital supports acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancings, generational transfers, internal growth and other corporate initiatives. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, we have a long track record of successful investing in the lower middle market, delivering resources typically only available to larger firms. MSouth Capital was founded in 2021 by MSouth Equity Partners, a private equity firm that has raised $2.2 billion across four funds.

• We do not finance MSouth Equity Partners investments

Investment Criteria: Financial

• EBITDA of $3 – 10 million
• Established history of profitability
• Predictable cash flows
• Strong free cash flow conversion

Position Description

• Support the analysis, evaluation, and execution of private debt and minority equity investments in lower middle market businesses
• Build and maintain financial models, compile investment committee memos, and assist with the drafting of term sheets and legal documentation
• On-going monitoring of portfolio companies including financial and KPI reporting
• Participate in meetings with management teams of prospective investments and attend quarterly board meetings of portfolio companies
• Seek to add value to other aspects of MSouth Capital’s overall business / internal initiatives

Qualifications

• 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Private Equity or Transaction Advisory Services
• Detail oriented, with strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft product suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
• Effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Proven ability to take on material responsibility and accountability for transaction execution and portfolio management
