July 2024 -- Specialty Appliances (or the "Company"), a portfolio company of Reynolda Equity Partners ("Reynolda"), has acquired Ordont Orthodontic Appliance Lab ("Ordont").

Specialty Appliances is a leading orthodontic laboratory focused on the manufacturing and development of customized orthodontic and specialty dental appliances and the distribution of consumable orthodontic products. In business for over 40 years and serving customers across the entire nation, the Company has a highly diversified and recurring customer base and a stellar reputation among orthodontists and practitioners offering specialty dental treatment for the Company’s innovation, digital manufacturing capabilities, product quality and customer service.

For over 70 years, Ordont has provided thousands of dentists with customized, high quality orthodontic appliances. Ordont’s St. Louis-based lab designs and fabricates a wide range of orthodontic appliances including invisible trays and removable, fixed appliances.

Since its partnership with Reynolda, Specialty Appliances has: (i) completed multiple acquisitions of strategic orthodontic and specialty dental-focused labs, (ii) launched multiple new product categories, and (iii) invested in advanced manufacturing capabilities to drive efficiencies, improve quality, and ensure scalability. Reynolda has also supported numerous operational priorities, including the launching of a consumable product distribution segment, an ERP system implementation, the development of a new product ordering portal, and numerous other growth investments. With the addition of Ordont, the integrated companies will be able to realize purchasing and manufacturing synergies, create incremental density within their respective geographic footprints, and further diversify their customer bases and product portfolios.
