HCAP Partners Supports Heluna Health Community Fund

HCAP’s contribution will help advance health equity and build community resilience

HCAP Partners LLC, is thrilled to announce its contribution to a community fund created by Heluna Health, a national nonprofit leader in providing program and support services to optimize population health.

“We are immensely grateful for HCAP's support in helping us tackle the difficult challenges we face in population health,” said Blayne Cutler, MD, PhD, President and CEO of Heluna Health. “We value HCAP’s commitment to helping us drive impact and resilience in the communities we serve.”

HCAP’s donation will support key initiatives such as training the future health workforce with an initial focus on community health workers. These individuals serve as trusted liaisons within their communities and help bridge the empathy gap by connecting with and empowering patients through shared lived experiences.

“HCAP is proud to support the Heluna Health Community Fund,” said Hope Mago, Partner at HCAP and member of the Heluna Health Board of Directors. “Our gift affirms HCAP’s steadfast commitment to protecting, enhancing and promoting community wellbeing, and to uplifting those who have historically been overlooked.”

Heluna Health is leading the effort to eliminate health disparities for people living in vulnerable circumstances. With a legacy spanning more than five decades, they have partnered with nonprofits, community-based organizations, public health agencies, healthcare systems, providers and policymakers to fortify health initiatives and ensure equal access to quality care.

Heluna Health created the Community Fund to further their commitment to improving health equity. The Community Fund plays a vital role in strengthening evidence-based health interventions, promoting fair access to maternal care and nutrition services, expanding the community health workforce, and enhancing disease prevention efforts.

“We are thrilled to contribute to a cause that improves health outcomes and champions health equity,” Mago said. “We’re dedicated to driving meaningful change and fostering a future where everyone has equal access to quality healthcare and support services.”

Together with their partners, Heluna Health has changed millions of lives and significantly moved the needle on population health. Between 2021 and 2022 alone, Heluna Health supported more than 500 projects. These projects span the field of public health, including but not limited to supporting Covid-19 testing administration in private and independent schools, providing doulas with full-time employment including health and retirement benefits, supporting community health workers’ professional development, and more.
