Farragut Invests in NEMA Enclosures
CHEVY CHASE, MD – Farragut Capital Partners (“the Firm”) is pleased to announce the closing of an investment in NEMA Enclosures (“NEMA” or the “Company”). Farragut invested unitranche debt and equity to support the acquisition of the Company by Thesis Capital (“Thesis”), a Texas-based sponsor.
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, NEMA manufactures and distributes custom metal enclosures designed for critical electrical components. The Company’s strong history and relationships have made it a competitive player in the custom enclosures segment, with exposure to growing end markets. The investment will enable NEMA to continue its impressive growth while providing liquidity to the owner. The owner will transition to an advisory role, making way for Thesis Operating Partner Luke Davis as the new CEO.
“We’re excited to announce our investment in NEMA and partner with Thesis,” said Phil McNeill, Managing Partner of Farragut. “The Company is well equipped to execute on growth initiatives under its new leadership.”
Ian Reynolds, Managing Partner of Thesis, said, “With Farragut, we found a partner that shares our thesis for the industry. Without a doubt we are the beneficiary of their serial manufacturing investment experience and look to leverage that expertise now and into the future of the platform.”
Luke Davis, CEO of NEMA, added, “I am honored to step into the role of CEO and lead NEMA into its next chapter. Former owner, Rob, his son, Jonathan, and the leadership team have built an incredible foundation, and with the combined resources of NEMA, Farragut, and Thesis, we are ideally positioned to continue our momentum of growth and deliver unparalleled value to our customers and stakeholders.”
